Updates on the Disabled American Veterans Organization

America’s Heroes Group Podcast, episode 283, discusses the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) organization with Arthurine Jones, a retired 27 year U.S. Veteran and full-time caregiver.

Jones is involved in Chapter 17 of the DAV in Hammond, Indiana, where there are regular meetings and an abundance of resources for Veterans.

“What I like about our meetings is that when I come in I can find out what is going on about legislation, what the DAV has done, and how we have expressed our voices,” Jones said. “I can go and educate myself and others.”

The DAV is a nonprofit charity that has been helping Veterans and their families get the resources they deserve since 1920. Visit their website for more information on how to join or to make a donation.

America Heroes Group’s mission is to honor and respect the relentless commitment, ultimate sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of our retired Veterans and Active Service members thereby empowering and transforming their lives as they age in place and reacclimate back into society through identifying and positioning local and national communities as military friendly.
