America’s Heroes Group Podcast, episode 312, addresses the topic of healthcare for women. Panelist Krystal Lynn Gilewski offers her perspective as the Women Veteran’s Program Manager at the Hines Department of Veteran Affairs and a licensed social worker.

The Hines Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) is the largest VA in Illinois and offers Veterans quality healthcare. The hospital has treated more than 44,000 Veterans going back as far as World War II.

“The way we look at care and how we deliver care needs to start shifting to thinking from a woman Veteran’s perspective,” Gilewski said. “With the women Veterans’ population increasing by thousands each year, an emphasis on quality healthcare is becoming crucial.”

America Heroes Group’s mission is to honor and respect the relentless commitment, ultimate sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of our retired Veterans and Active Service members thereby empowering and transforming their lives as they age in place and reacclimate back into society through identifying and positioning local and national communities as military friendly.
